Crooked Trails:

Venice is Sinking is an annual fundraiser in support of Crooked Trails, a Seattle-based nonprofit travel organization supporting indigenous people around the world through thoughtful and sustainable cultural exchanges and community development projects funded by our travelers.

Crooked Trails creates programs that respect and protect the natural and human environment, benefit the host community, and allow indigenous people control of their own future.

Over our ten years, Crooked Trails has helped: build and or restore 9 schools in Nepal and Kenya, build a medical clinic and water system in Kenya, install smokeless ovens in Peru,
worked on mangrove restoration and refurbished a library in Thailand, and raised over $40,000 to fight child sexual slavery in Thailand and Nepal, raised $38,000 for earthquake victims in Peru, tsunami victims in Thailand, and flood relief for Northern India, build community centers in Peru and in Thailand and raised funds to buy cows for villagers in Peru.
